“To educate a child is to turns walls into doors.”
That’s exactly why 13 year-old Taneesha was inspired to start Art4_Education, a platform to support child education.
Taneesha Sheth (Grade 8, Singapore):
“Education is every child’s birthright. Unfortunately, it still remains an inaccessible right for millions of children around the world driven by factors like poverty, illiteracy, discrimination, inequality, and affordability.
Since I am very passionate about art and painting I decided to take my hobbies further and utilise them for a noble cause – Child Education.“
Art4_education was started by Taneesha to support a school for the underprivileged in Jaipur, by putting up her art for sale.
The funds from her initiative go towards Veerayatan an Indian NGO focussing on:
- Self Development
Taneesha’s efforts have been fruitful & her proceeds from selling handmade greeting cards over the last few months have been able to educate 10 children for an entire year (Her journey has just started with more orders pouring in.
(To support her cause & place an order, please dm her instagram @art4_education.)
Her mother Neha is also an avid painter & been Taneesha’s mentor all along.
