The simplicity of nature is actually so complex and there are moments that one is mesmerized by its innate beauty and amazing artwork.
The Eucalyptus Deglupta tree is one such stunning creation…
?It is one of the most colorful trees in the world with its multi-hued bark and is aptly nicknamed:
?Rainbow Gum Tree
?Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree
?Mindanao Gum Tree
? It the only eucalyptus species to live in the rainforest.
Where does it grow?
The Eucalyptus Deglupta tree is indigenous to the northern hemisphere and normally thrives in some parts of
??Papua New Guinea.
How does the tree bark get its color?
?The color on the tree is a natural process.
?This phenomenon happens in summer, when the tree strips of it’s bark to reveal a light green color.
?Then, as the bark regrows, the colors orange, purple, and dark blue are the effects of the growing bark.
?This is how the tree gets all its unique colors.
❇️Despite its towering height, the tree matures fast, taking around 10 years only to grow fully.
❇️It ranks on some of the tallest trees in the world.
❇️This giant tree could grow up to 60 meters in height and 1.8 meters in diameter. That’s absolutely ginormous for a tree!
We love that this rainbow has got all ‘bark’ and no bite and hope we are lucky enough to spot it someday 🙂
